Thomas Allen ANDERSON - Thomas Allen died at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday at his home, 1007 E. Calhoun St., after two years of declining health and a few days of illness. illness. He was a retired attorney, having begun his practice here in 1904 when he was admitted to the S. C. Bar Association. He was past president of the Anderson Anderson County Bar Association and a member of the American Bar Association. He also was a member of the Anderson Ki-wanis Ki-wanis Ki-wanis Club and the First Baptist Baptist Church where he taught a Sunday School class many years. A class now has been named in his honor. He was first associated with the firm of Bonham, Watkins and Allen, which later became Allen & Jones. He was born in Dillon County, son of the late Rev. Joel I. and Helen Rass Allen. His wife, Mrs. Frances Ligon Allen died in February. Surviving are two sons, Thomas Thomas L. and Richard L. Allen of Anderson; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Stanbury of New York; three sisters, Mrs. Ransome Williams of Myrtle Beach, Mrs. A. C. Sherwood of Erwin, Tenn.. and Mrs. Charles Hodges of rront Royal, Va.; a brother, Joel I. Allen of Mullins; four
