Evelyn Browning, Liberty Evelyn Shaw Browning, of 11 Perry St., widow of Furman Browning, Browning, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003. Mrs. Browning was born in Anderson Anderson County, a daughter of the late Hubert Ervin and Ophelia Smith Shaw. She was retired from BASF Fibers, Clemson Plant, with over 25 years of service. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class, was a former Junior Sunday School Class Teacher, was Vice President of the Senior Adults, was a member of the Golden Golden Gems for over 22 years, and was a Group Leader of Frances Ellen Ellen Mission Action Group. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, daughters-in-law, daughters-in-law, daughters-in-law, daughters-in-law, Mr. Furman David David and Kathy Browning, of Roger-sville, Roger-sville, Roger-sville, Tenn., and Mr. Larry Earl and Sandra Browning, of Aiken; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvene Dyar, and Mrs. Margaret Ann Allen, and her husband, the Rev. Charles Allen, Allen, all of Anderson; three grandsons, grandsons, Keith Browning of Knoxville, Tenn., Casey Browning of Simp-sonville Simp-sonville Simp-sonville and Travis Browning of Okinawa, Japan; and a nephew, the Rev. James Dyar. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, at East Side Baptist Church, with Dr. Rick Lee, the Rev. James Dyar and the Rev. Charles Allen officiating. Interment Interment will be at New Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson. The family will receive friends tonight, from 6 to 8, at the Liberty Mortuary. Serving as escort of honor will be the Deacons, the Golden Gems and the Dorcas Sunday School Class, all of East Side Baptist Church.
