Some of Tommy's employers were Miller Tile Co, The Greenville School System in the Bus shop, and Brook-line Carpets. Tommy had a big heart and looked out for his fellow man. He never met a stranger.

He was of the Baptist Faith, loved his God, his Country, family and friends. He is survived by a sister Judy Ross Poindexter (Bob) of Charleston SC, and brother, Michael Ross (Sharon) of Jacksonville, Fl, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Tommy's life will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Garden Apartments Community Room on Augusta Road. Hucks Pickens Margaret Causey Hucks, 90, formerly of Sunrise Lane, and wife of the late Reverend Earl Hucks, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012. Born in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late George Dawson Causey and Jet Gore Causey. Mrs. Hucks was a retired School Food Service Manager and was a member of Pickens View Wesleyan Church. Surviving are three sons, Clennon Hucks (Diane) of Greer, George Edward Hucks, Sr.

(Cathy) of Greensboro, NC and Larry Hucks of Richmond, VA; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and a son-in-law, George Gat-lin of Pickens. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Lejette H. Gatiin; two brothers and a sister. Virginia Hendricks Fountain Inn Virginia Gault Hendricks, 91, went home to be with the Lord on March 1,2012. She is the widow of HS (Hubert) Hendricks and was a lifelong resident of Fountain Inn.

Mrs. Hendricks and her husband resided at the home they both loved, 711 North Main Street, for over fifty years. Mrs. Hendricks loved God, her family, and her friends with a passion. A lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church, she taught the Rene Kellet Sunday School class for many years, was a member of the Wesleyan Circle and served on various committees.

She began her teaching career at age twenty at Gray Court Owings High School. Her teaching career spanned over thirty-seven years. She loved teaching and felt strongly that each of her students received the same opportunity to and great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three sisters and their spouses: Helen G. Scherl (George), Martha G.

Tucker (Howard) and Sarah A Gault; sister-in-laws: Virginia Webb Hendricks, Patsy Kemp (Harold), Charlotte Hendricks, Grace Cobb; brother-in-laws: Robert Hendricks and Mack Fowler. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Quillen Manor for the care and love they showed Virginia during her five-year residence. The service will be at Trinity Methodist Church with private entombment following at Cannon Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence of Ralph and Marion Hendricks, 201 Poinsettia Drive, Simpsonville. Honorary escorts will be the staff of Quillen Manor and Amediys Hospice.

Fowler. Hyatt and Jen-na were the crown jewels of her life and she adored them, cared for them, and made sure they completed their homework. Even as her health was declining, she constantly told her nurses and the staff at Quillen Manor about Jenna and Hyatt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews Greenville Thomas Stanley Ross, (Tommy) age 70, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at a local hospital. Tommy was born in Biddeford Maine, November 16, 1941, to the late Stanley Ross and Mary M.

Ross. Tommy lived in Saco Maine until 1958. During that time he was intrigued with fire trucks, spending all his spare time at the Saco Fire Department. He would help the firemen clean the station, the trucks roll out the hoses, whatever chores had to be done. They made him an honorary mascot in a ceremony, presenting him with an official fireman's badge in 1956.

When the family moved to Greenville, Tommy attended Greenville High Katherine "Kittie" Godfrey Moose North Myrtle Beach Katherine "Kittie" Godfrey Moose, 83, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012 at her residence. Kittie was born December 20, 1928 in Greenville, SC and was a daughter of the late T.G. Godfrey, Sr. and Elizabeth Young Godfrey. While living in the Greenville and Taylors areas of South Carolina she taught dance and owned her own dance studio.

Kittie and her family then moved to Greensboro, NC where she was a twenty year employee of Block and became a Branch Office Manager for the company. She and her husband moved to the Myrtle Beach area in 1991 for their retirement years. Kittie enjoyed her family, cross stitching, traveling, TV and sun bathing. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Ralph H. Moose of North Myrtle Beach; three children, Ralph "Chip" Moose, Jr.

of Rita Parry Greenville Rita Ostrowski Parry, 86, loving mother and grandmother, died February 23, 2012 of multiple myeloma. Born in Browerville, MN, she was one of 11 children. She graduated as valedictorian in 1943 and went to work for United Airlines as a communications operator. Rita lived in Greenville since the early 70's, where she enjoyed employment at Burlington and Michelin. She was an avid ballroom dancer, volunteer tutor for Greenville literacy Association, and a Peace Center usher.

A founding member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, she served in the choir, the women's guild, and as a Eucha-ristic Minister. She is survived by her children Colleen (Barry) Jones of Al-pharetta, GA, Scott (Iiz) Parry of Holly Springs, NC, and Mark (Clary) Parry of Greer; grandchildren Alex and Mary Catherine Bowling Greenville Mary Catherine Bowling, 85, of Greenville, widow of Robert G. Bowling, went to be with The Lord Thursday, March 1, 2012. Born in Greenville, daughter of Willie and Catherine Hollis. She graduated from Berea High School, and retired after 20 years from West Cliff Elementary School.

She was a member of Woodside Church of God, where she taught Sunday School for 42 years and was Ladies Ministries President. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by children, Jerry M. Hollis Qerlyn), of Augusta, GA, Robert G. Bowling, Jr.

(Pamela), of Easley RillaB. Hanks (David), of West Palm Beach, FL, Brenda Zapata of Fountain Inn, David H. Bowling (Denise), of Greenville, Dennis Bowling (Nancy), of Greenville, Terry S. Bowling of Greenville, and Chad A Bowling of Piedmont; brother, Edwin Hollis of Pied- John Lincoln Wright Greenville John Lincoln Wright, 75, of 511 Augusta Street, Apt. 211, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

"Doug" Criswell, age 76, formerly of Fountain Inn, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in Park Ridge Health Facility in Fletcher, NC. He is survived by one son, Calvin Criswell of Greenville; one daughter, Elaine Criswell of Greenville; one brother, David Criswell of Indiana; and two sisters, Sarah Criswell Williams, Charlie Mae Williams of Fountain Inn. Mr. Mahaffey was born May 24, 1946 in Simpsonville, to the late Jimmie Medlock Mahaffey and Charles Furman Mahaffey. He loved the Jockey Lot and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his father are sisters, Marilyn Phippen, Lola Tucker, Brenda Payne, Libby Hudson, and Kathy Bragg; also nieces and nephews. Warehouse Court, widower of Michelle Blalock, died Monday, February 27,2012. Born in Cherokee County, he was the son of Thomas E. Blalock of White Oak, NC and the late Sandra Mathis Blalock. Mr. Blalock was employed with Publix Supermarket and was a member of Christian Outreach Church.
