Ni TUES1DAY OUTLiY FIELD MIMSTRELS CAPTURED HIT Ashcville Theatergoers Paid Annual Tribute io Great Minstrel Show HERE TOMORROW (From Asheville Citizen) ASheville theatre goers last night paid their annual tribute to Al Q. Field's ministrels in record-breaking numbers as usual.

Long before noon yesterday, the lower floor had been out, and when the curtain rose lost night the Auditorium was packed from top to bottom, with hundreds standing at the rear. Despite the fact that the Field organization plays here this year for two nights and a matinee it Is believed that las nlgh's attendance exceeded any record, of previous years. The show this year Is staged In Its first part with all the elaborate detail ha. has always featured Field's min strels. Some new faces are seen, but several of the old favorites, vocal soloists and comedians, are still on hand.

Among these are Billy Beard, "the party from the south," long a favorite in Asheville; Jack Richards, one of the best and most popular soloists that Al G. Field ever carried; Lasses White, Billy Clark, Johnny Healy, Chas. Relnhart, A. J. Palmer and Frank Miller.

The first part concludes with a burlesque on grand opera. is featured by a Salome dance by Boni Mack, the clever female Impersonator. Two unusually fine numbers of the first part were Jack Richard's solo "Keep the Home, Fires Burning," and Chas. Rheln-hart's yodle song, "On the Mountain Top." "School Days," the Phanton Patrol" CBilly Beard's monologue, Arthur Yule's clever imitation, the Saxophone sextette and a comedy "On the Mississippi" found favor with the audience in the second part. Taken as a whole, Mr.

Field has maintained the high standards of former years, a fact which continues to draw the crowds year after year It is no exaggeration to state that no other minstrel organization that has traveled in the last quarter of a century has enjoyed such a record. A matinee today and tonight's performance will conclude the Field en-9gagamemt Al G. Field Greater Minstrels will be at the Textile Hall tomorrow afternoon and night Already the sale of tickets has borne ou the claim of this great minstrel show that it is the premier of them all. Manager Whit-mlre, however, stated last night that there were still plenty of seats for the eleventh hour patrons, thanks to the size of the Textile Hall and, judging from he many 'phone calls and inquiries from out of town, the demand would take up those remaining early Monday He therefore urges those desiring to go Monday afternoon or night to call early Monday morning to select their seats.
