Betty Jean Hall Betty Jean Hall, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cicero Hall, of Concord, N. died at a local hospital Monday afternoon at 6:50 o'clock, while visiting the city with her parents. Funeral services will be held In Concord, N.

Captain W. P. Conyers. of the Greenville delegation, was named a member of the ways and means committee of the House of Representatives In the committee assignments announced this afternoon by Speaker Hamblin. This is regarded as one of the most important committees of the House since it deals with all matters of revenue and finance.

The ways and means committee this year consists of only 31 members, as compared with the 81 that were assigned places on It last year. The committee reelected as Chairman R. E. McCaslan of Greenwood, who served at the head of the committee last term. KEITH CHAIRMAN TWICE Col W.

Keith of Greenville was appointed to the committee on education and was elected chairman of that group, and the penitentiary committee, to which he was also assigned, likewise elected him its head.
