Mary Miller LAURENS Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Davenport Miller, 54, of 815 Sullivan died Mon-day. Born in Laurens County, daughter of the late John and Zeola Williams Davenport, she was a member of White Plains' Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Robert and Joseph Miller of Laurens; two daughters, Miss Carol Miller of the home and Mrs. Betty Wright Gwinn of Mildenhall, England; two brothers, Cordell and Samuel Davenport of Washington, D.C.; and five grandchildren.

Zella Nix Hill, 59, widow of Wylie S. Hill, of 1604 Emory died Sunday. Born in Union County, daughter of the late John and Lucinda Thompson Nix, she was a retired employe of J.P. Stevens Co. and a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Geraldine H. Boul-ware, Mrs. Betty H. Smith, Mrs.

Juanita H. Bledsoe and Mrs. Annie Bell H. Parton of Whitmire; three sons, William Lewis K. and Raymond H.

Hill of Whitmire; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Mae Ballard of Woodruff and Mrs. Pearl Winder of Whitmire; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church', with burial in Whitmire Cemetery.

James Hendricks PICKENS James Wister Hendricks, 77, of Rt. 3, Pickens, died Sunday. Born in Pickens County, son of the late Thomp and Martha Trotter Hendricks, he was a retired farmer and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lila Hendricks; a son, Larry Hendricks of Cleveland; two stepsons, Ben T.

and James E. Hendricks of Pickens; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Elsie Hunt-of Travelers Rest; two brothers, T. M. Hendricks of Pickens and George Hendricks of Brevard, N.C; two sisters, after 11 a.m.

Tuesday at Wood Mortuary, Greer, with burial in Wood Memorial Park. Henry Johnson ANDERSON Henry Johnson, of 602 North died Sunday. Bom in Anderson, son of the late William A. and Mary Graddish Johnson, he was a retired salesman and a member of St. John's United Methodist Church.

Joyce Johnson CONOVER, N.C. Mrs. Joyce Hughes Johnson, 63, of Rt. 2, Conover, died Sunday in Hickory. Born in Oconee County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Mark H.

and Bessie Davis Hughes. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Willie Robins of Hickory; a son, James Ray Johnson of Conover; two sisters, Mrs. Lil-lie Taylor of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Blanche H.

Hughes of Liberty S.C.; four brothers, J. B. Hughes of Walhalla, grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Padgett's Creek Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

3, Union. W. Dacus Norris GRAY COURT Willie Dacus Norris, 48, owner of Barber Shop, of Rt. 2, Gray Court, Barksdale community, died Monday. Born in Greenville County, son of the late Eugene A.

and Lucia Simpson Norris, he was a member of Welcome Baptist Church, a security guard, a member of Shroder Masonic Lodge No. 144 and the Gray Court Rescue Squad. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Willie Mae Douglas Norris; a brother, John Henry Norris of Laurens; a sister, Mrs. George Pearson of Columbia.

Mrs. Garnett McAlister WESTMINSTER Mrs. Mary Ellen Murray McAlister, 59, wife of Garnett McAlister of Rt. 4, Westminster, died Monday. Born in Stephens County, she was the daughter of the, late Amos and Addie Busha Murray.

EASLEY Raymond Francis Elrod 73, of 408 Greenville Road, died Monday. Born in Anderson County, son of the late William Hampton Griffin and Lucinda Elvira Traynum Elrod, he was a retired employe of Easley Marble a veteran of World War II and a member of Easley Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Martha E. Burdette Elrod; three sons, Donald and Raymond Elrod Jr.

Breeden Daniel Carlton Breeden, 47, of 248 McDaniel died Monday. Born in Bennettsville, S.C., son of Mrs. Anne Carroll Breeden of Bennettsville, and the late D.C. Breeden, he was vice-president of The Furman Insurance Company. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church, he was president of the Greenville Country Club, chairman of the 1970 United Fund Campaign, a veteran of World War II, and a graduate of the University of North Carolina.
