Altonia Lanford Wingo, 81, widow of Charlie V. Wingo, of 1410 Reidville Road, died Monday. Bom in Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Julian and Gerine Jennings Lanford, she was a former dietician for Mary Black Hospital and Roebuck High School and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Roebuck. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Helen Wilder and Mrs.

Shirley Bates of Spartanburg and Mrs. Gloria Proffit of Jacksonville, four sons, Archie V. Wingo of Moore, Julian A. Wingo of Columbia, Thomas H. and Boyd W.

Wingo of Spartanburg; 15 grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at "Bethlehem Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The body is at Floyd Mortu- ary, North Church Street, and will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

James Littlejohn SPARTANBURG James Littlejohn, 86, of 815 N. Vernon died Tuesday. Born in Cherokee County, son of the late F.F. and Addie Tolleson Littlejohn, he was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Floyd Mortuary, North Church Street, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. The family is at the home of Mrs. Annie Hagler, 127 Allen Ave. Miss Mary Staton ZIRCONIA, N.C.

Miss Mary E. Staton, 71, of Rt. 1, Zirconia, died Tuesday. Born in Anderson County, daughter of the late John L. and Telythia Gordon Staton, she was a member of Mountain Page Baptist Church.

Surviving is a brother, Edward Staton of Zirconia. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Grace Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in Mountain Page Baptist Church cemetery. The body is at Thomas She-herd Son Funeral Directors where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Charlie Avery NEWBERRY Charlie Estes "Sleepy" Avery, 65, of 815 James died Tuesday. Born in Lincolton, son of the late William and Willie Trammel 1 Avery, he was a retired employe of Kendall Oakland Plant.
