William and Hattie Vaughn Whitmire, he was an automobile mechanic, a member of Welcome Baptist Church and the mission Sunday school class.

Marion Gwinn PICKENS Marion Gwinn, 59, Rt. 4, Tabor community, Pickens, husband of Peggy Rogers Gwinn, died Friday. Born in Sunburst, N.C., son of the late William Clark and Rosa Mae Barker Gwinn, he worked for 30 years at the Alice and Ellejan plants. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. Surviving also are sons, Billy and Bobby Gwinn of Easley, Roger and Robert Allan Gwinn of Pickens; a daughter, Peggy Durham of Pickens; sisters, Mae Queen of Waynesville, N.C., and Colby Evatt of Santa Monica, and nine grandchildren.

The money will be used to continue the operation of the South Carolina Statewide Family Planning Project.
