F. Mitchell GREENWOOD Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille" Fobias Mitchell, 66, who died Tuesday, will be conducted at 2 p. m. Friday at Harley Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The body is at the funeral home and the family is at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Virginia Harvey, 510 Jordan St. Mrs. B.

M. Lane GAFFNEY-Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Estelle Gregory Lane, 72, of 1000 College Drive, who died Tuesday, wife of B. M. Lane, will be conducted at 11 a.m.

Thursday at Limestone Presbyterian Church. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Mausoleum, Greenville. The body is at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home. Otis Edgar Smith HONEA PATH--Funeral services for Otis Edgar Smith, 38, of 403 Virginia who died Tuesday, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Assembly of God.

Claude Bailey Sr. GREER-Mrs. Elsie Cox Bailey, 73, of Rt. 2, Greer, widow of Claude Bailey died Wednesday. She was a native of Dunne, W.

a daughter of the late Joseph and Susan Lawson Cox. She was a former resident Beckley, W. Va. and was a member of Beckley Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.

Lewis Phillips, with whom she had lived for six years; a son, Claude Bailey Jr. of Beckley; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Quesenberry and Mrs. Lola la Rae Skelton of Beckley and Mrs. Scott Amos of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren and a great-grandihild.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. at Wood Mortuary. The body will be sent to Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Beckley, Friday for burial. The body is at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. It is requested that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Fews Chapel United Methodist Church, Greer.

C. L. Redmond CENTRAL Caredine Lewis Redmond, 72, died Wednesday. A native of County, son of the late Mount David and Loie Felter Redmond, he was a retired textile worker and a former employe of Cannon Mills. He was a member of Mt.

Tabor Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Berline Head Redmond; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Redfern of Chesterfield, Mrs. Barbara Lockett of Tucson, and Mrs.

Mary Miller of Spangdahlem Air Force Base, Germany; two sons, Kenneth Redmond of Huntsville, and Jerry Redmond of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Sosbee of Meridian, and Mrs. Mildred Snodgrass of Germany; two brothers; Quinn Redmond of Ft. and Beauford Redmond of Albany, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m.

Thursday at Duckett's Clemson Chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The body is at the chapel. at the funeral home from to 9 p.m.

William Crews NEWBERRY Mrs. Annie Belle Crews, 55, wife of William Herman Crews of 48 Player died Wednesday. A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late James C. And Iva she was a Galloway, Clearview Baptist Church at Augusta, Ga. Surviving also are two sons, Victor L.

Crews of Greenville, and S. Sgt. Randy C. Crews of Ft. Bragg, N.C.; two daughters, Mrs.

Vicky Ogden of Baltimore, and Mrs. Joseph R. Lain of Aiken; a brother, George C. Rice of Lumberton, N.C.; and 9 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Funeral services will nounced by Whitaker Funeral Home.

Mrs. F. A. Longshore NEWBERRY Mrs. Vera Long Longshore, 54, wife of F.

Allan Longshore, died Wednesday. A native of Newberry county, daughter of the late George Nolan and Minnie Banks Long, she was a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church. Surviving also are two sons, James A. Longshore and George H. Longshore of Newberry; five brothers, Paul Long of Chicago, Roy, Edward, Earl and James Long of Newberry; five sisters, Mrs.

Colie Woodward, Mrs. Annie Laura Berry and Mrs. Larry Bouknight of Newberry, and Miss Katherline Long of Joanna; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at Whitaker Funeral Home.

Beatrice Greene Hughes, 50, wife of J. H. Hughes of 122, Sycamore Drive died Wednesday. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late C. H.

and Myrtle Stackleather Greene. She was a lifelong resident of Greenville. She was a Baptist and a member of the Eastern Star, and President of the Shrine Auxiliary. Surviving also are two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Peterson on of Omaha, and Mrs.

Samuel T. Scroggs of Greenville; and a brother, C. H. Greene Jr. of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Dennis F. Pitman Mrs. Louise Huskey Pitman, wife of Dennis F. Pitman of 56 Seventh Woodside, died Wednesday. A native of Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of Mrs.

Pearl Huskey Murray of Greenville, and the late Farrell Huskey. She had spent most of her life in Greenville. Before her retirement, she was employed at the White Horse Plant of the J. P. Stevens Co.

She attended the Woodside Avenue Church of God. Surviving are a son, Charles F. Pitman; two daughters, Mrs. Dennis E. Heaton of Townville and Mrs.

Helen P. Belton of Greenville; a sister, Mrs. J. Johnson of Greenville; two brothers, James Murray and R. C.

Murray of Greenville; and six grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Jones Mortuary. The body is at the mortuary and will be taken to the home at 3 p.m. Thursday. Dr.

Louis Fraysse III COLUMBIA Dr. Louis Augustus Fraysse III, 47, of 225 Garden Springs Road, retired U.S. Air Force, lieutenant colonel died Wednesday. A native of Charleston, son of the late L. A.

Fraysse Jr. and Sallie Belle Watt Fraysse, he was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. He was a graduate of the College of Charleston, the University of South Carolina and Duke Medical College. He was a veteran of World War II. He served as hospital commander for several Air Force hospitals, and retired from service in 1966.

He also served on the staff of Crafts-Farrow Hospital in Columbia. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Elizabeth John Fraysse; three daughters, Susan Watt Fraysse, Patricia Lee Fraysse and Mary Janet Fraysse of the home; a son, Robert Louis Fraysse of the home; and a brother, John Watt Fraysse of Mechanicsville, Va. D. Hudgens Scott Drayton Hudgens Scott, 82, of Sixth Conestee, died Wednesday. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Thomas Milton and Carrie Gaines Scott. For 18 years he had lived at Conestee. Before his retirement he was employed by F.

G. Brothers, Paint Contractors. He was a Baptist. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Reba Scott Brown of Greenville and Mrs.

Helen Scott Jolliff of Missouri; a son, Walter H. Scott of Greenville; a sister, Mrs. Mamie Scott Hinton of Greenville; 13 grandchildren and ducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Barkers Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The body will be at Pruitt Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Thursday, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The family is at. the home in Barkers Creek Community.

Mrs. Aaron Burton BELTON Funeral services for Mrs. Estelle Hughes Burton, 57, who died Tuesday, wife of Aaron Burton, will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday, at Mt. Bethel Baptist Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The body is at the home. Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path. Walter M. Turner Walter Major Turner, 21, of Staunton Bridge Rt. 8, Greenville, died Wednesday.

He was a son of Mrs. Cecil Massingale Turner and Walter M. Turner and was born in Greenville. He was a member of Crosswell Baptist Church. Miss Judy Kay Turner and Miss Surviving also are two sisters, Evelyn Lee Turner of the home; and grandparents, Mr.

and Mrs. E. M. Massingale of Greenville, and Mrs. Ida Turner of Greenville.

Mrs. Minnie Kates INMAN Mrs. Minnie Kates, 80, of Rt. 3, Inman, died Mon- day. A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late George and Mary Nesbitt Walker, she was a member of Rock Hill Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ester Ballenger of Inman, a son, Fred Kates of Greenville; 12 grandchildren; 26 greatgrandchildren and ten greatgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 4 p.m. at Rock Hill Methodist Church. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.

The body is at M. B. Callaham Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p. m. Thursday, and will be placed in the church Friday at 2 p.m.

Medlin Mrs. William O. Medlin Oscar Medlin, 80, and his wife, of the Avalon community, TocMrs. Bonnte Hand a Medlin, 70, coa, died Tuesday. A native of Oconee County, Medlin was a son of the late Sloan and Sarah Hood Medlin and was a veteran of World War I.

A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Medlin was a daughter of the late Quince and Ora White Hand and was a member of Tugaloo Baptist Church. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Bertha and Mrs. Aquilla Wilson of Walhalla, S.C., Mrs.

Lonnie Bagwell of Easley, S.C., Mrs. Alton Tandridge of Hartwell, and Mrs. Jeanette Blackburn of Greenville, S. four sons, Burley Medlin of Ware Shoals, S. Roy Medlin of Greenwood, S.

James Medlin of Anderson, S.C., and Fred Medlin of Greer, "s.c.; and 28 grandchildren. Surviving Medlin also are seven brothers, Sam, Luther, Homer and J.B. Medlin of Ware Shoals, Grover Medlin of Canton, N.C., Iva Medlin of West Union, S.C., and Olin Medlin of Walhalla; and a sister, Mrs. Mattie Garner of Ware Shoals. Surviving Mrs.

Medlin also are three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Anderson of Easley, Mrs. Alpha Wallace of Morrisville, and 12 great-grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, six stepgreatgrandchildren. The family is at the home of his son, Walter H. Scott, 24 Farmington Rd.

Stancil SIX MILE Stancil, 84, of Rt. 1, Six Mile, died Wednesday. A retired farmer, he was a Baptist. Surviving are his wife, Mittie Adcox Stancil; a sister, Mrs. Julia Harris of Pendleton.

Funeral services will conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Six Mile Baptist Church. Burial will be in Golden Creek Church cemetery. The body is at Gantt Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Thursday.

A. H. Smith EASLEY-Auborn H. Smith. 74, of 409 N.

died Wednesday. A son of the late Sam T. and Aggie McCombs Smith, he was a native of Pickens County and had lived in Easley all his life. Before retiring he was employed at Roper Motor and the Carolina National Bank. He was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Funeral arrangements will announced by Robinson Funeral Home. The body is at the funeral home. Dean T. Barker SPARTANBURG-Dean Tate Barker, 61, of 385 3 Willis Road, Harmon Trailer Park, died Wednesday.

A native of Cambridge, N. son of the late Arthur and Ann Dean Barker, he was, a member of St. Mathew's Episcopol Church, veteran of World War 11 and was a retired employe of Asgrow Seed Co. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jessie Verl Sanders Barker; a son, Thomas Wayne Barker of Manitowoc, two brothers, Fred Barker of Cambridge, N.

and George Barker of West Park, N. and a grandson. The body is at M. W. Bobo Funeral Chapel.

Douglas Phillips Douglas Bruce Phillips, infant son of James H. and Mary Helen Jennings Phillips of 213 West Faris Road, died Tuesday. The father is employed by Colonial Stores at Stone Plaza. The parents are members of Augusta Road Baptist Church. Surviving also are three brothers, Eddie, Barry and Ricky Phillips of the home; and grandparents, Mrs.

Laura Wilson Phillips of Travelers Rest and Mrs. Nancy Williams Jennings of Pickens. Graveside services were conducted Wednesday at Mt. Airy Baptist Church cemetery in Anderson 1 County. -Robinson Funeral Home, Easley.

John Fred Nichols PROSPERITY John Fred Nichols, 51, of Rt. 1, Prosperity, died Wednesday. A native of Newberry County, he was employed at the Oakland plant of Kendall and was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.

Mary Frances Dominick Nichols; his mother, Mrs. Nellie of Prosperity; a daughter, Mrs. Allen Dehardt of Prosperity; three brothers, J. P. Lowman and Urcell Lowman of Columbia, and Cullen Lowman of Joanna; a sister, Mrs.

Leona Fulmer of Columbia; and one grandchild. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Whitaker Funeral Home at Newberry. Walter Funderburk -Walter Evans Funderburk, 88, died Wednesday. A native of Mecklenberg County, N. he was a son of the late Andrew J.

and Jane Baker Funderburk. He was a retired farmer, and had lived in Greenwood since 1913. He was a member of South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. F.

M. Mattox, Mrs. J. C. Goodman and Mrs.

J. F. Hollingsworth of Greenwood; three sons, Eugene, Roy and Grady Funderburk of Greenwood; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Hancock of Mooresville, 15. grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The body is at Harley Funeral Home, and will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Friday.
