Charleston's Port Reports New Records CHARLESTON WV-The Port of Charleston ended the fiscal year Thursday ringing up new records for the volume of cargo handled at state docks, in the number of ships calling at the docks and the customs dues paid on imports. Though fiscal 1965-66 fizzled out with a week-long slack spell for the waterfront, the State Ports Authority calculated that cargoes which moved across their Charleston terminals in the past year totaled 1,425,989 tons, compared with 1,151,597 in fiscal 1964-65. The smaller state ports actually recorded a decrease in cargo volume Georgetown from 279,970 to 217,924 tons, and Port Royal from 11,288 to 3,245 tons. For the first time in four years, State Port Terminals set a new record for the number of vessels calling to load and discharge cargo. There were 1,367 visiting merchant ships.

The previous high was 1,349 vessels in fiscal 1961- Wednesday, will be conducted Friday at 4 p. m. at Grace Methodist Church by Rev. M. J.

Barbara Gibson RICHLAND Funeral services for Barbara Ann Gibson, 17, who drowned near her home late Tuesday, will be conducted Friday at 4 p.m. at Clarmont Baptist Church by Rev. Clyde Crenshaw and Rev. erner Landreth. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a time to be announced.

Florence PreSvSley Greene, 78, of 15 Haynes Piedmont, died at her home at 7 p.m. yesterday after an illness of 10 years. Mrs. Greene was a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Massey Hooper and was born in Jackson County, N.C., but had made her home in Piedmont for 60 years She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Piedmont. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs.

Grace P. Pearson of Piedmont; one sister, Mrs. Mamie Turner of Anderson; three derson, Gary Hooper of Green ville and John Hooper of Pied mont, two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Piedmont.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The body will be at the Jones Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Mrs. Docia Abrams BUFFALO Mrs.

Docia Sparks Abrams, 82, of Main Street, died Thursday at 8:05 p.m. in a local hospital after an illness of several months. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church and a retired textile worker. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Inez Harding of Buffalo; a son, Jeff Abrams of Buffalo; a sister, Mrs.

T. Tate of Pacolet; a brother, Rev. J. J. Sparks of Greenville; four grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.

Gordon Bostic WHITMIRE Gordon Eugene Thomas Bostic, 32, an Air Force veteran, died in a Birmingham, hospital Thursday morning after a short illness. Native of Whitmire he was a son of the late Julian and Eula Odell Bostic. Staging its second floor revolt in two days, the AMA house of delegates voted almost unani mously not to reconsider a resolution, passed Wednesday, mak ing that suggestion. The policy-making house held to its stand over the objections of leaders who warned that it contained "severe risks" and that the matter should be studied further. Joseph B. Copeland of Austin a member of the AMA board of trustees, pleaded for reconsideration of the resolu tion to avert possible costly liti said that already the AMA was "getting about two suits a week" and that a $19 million suit now is pending against the organization.

Supporters of the measure argued against reconsideration. Wendell G. Scott, a delegate from St. Louis, said: "Gentlemen, if we are afraid of being sued we could not practice medicine. In another action at the con eluding session of the AMA's 115th annual convention the house approved a resolution saying doctors should not be required to attest that they do not discriminate racially in treating Medicare patients.

Native of Oconee County, son of the late Robert David and Mary Volrath Robinson he lived in Liberty 39 years and was a retired textile worker and farmer. He was a member of Calumet Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sara Owens Robinson; two sons, R. D.

3, Greer, was dead on arrival at a local hospital Thursday at 6 p.m. after four years of declining health and a sudden illness. Native of Gaffney, he was a former resident of Meriden, and had lived in the Mil-ford community for the past year. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.

Yarborough SPARTANBURG Graveside services for Mrs. Lillie Dillard Yarborough, 84, widow of La-Fayette Yarborough, were conducted Thursday afternoon at Yarborough Chapel Cemetery at Cross Anchor. Mrs. Yarborough died about midnight Tuesday. She was a daughter of the late James Brock and Elliot Ray Dillard; and was a Spartanburg County native.

She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Miss Catherine Yarborough and Miss Frances Yarborough of the home and Mrs. Lurene Cope-land of Leesburg, a son, James L. Yarborough of Eno-ree; and three grandchildren. Floyd Mortuary was in charge.

Mrs. Whitworth ANDERSON-Mrs. Roxie Wilson Whitworth, 82, of 1108 N. Main died Wednesday at 9:05 p.m at her home after several months of illness. Native of Franklin County, daughter of the late R.

m. yesterday after one week of serious illness. A native of Greenville, he was born Mar. 10, 1893, and was a son of the late James and Elizabeth Shipman Mintz of South Carolina. Most of his life was spent in Greenville and for four years he had lived near Travelers Rest.
