It represents the culmination of efforts of 100 men and women representing business, industry, the professions and homemakers who for more than a month have conducted budget conferences with member United Fund Agencies. "Our people, are presenting to the board recommendations we believe necessary to fill the essential needs of Greenville County citizens served through these agencies in 1967," John Bring-hurst chairman of the budget executive committee, said. It was noted that the growth of industry and population pose an increased number of problems that will be brought to these agencies for solution, and that this has been taken into consideration. The increase of the cost of living has also had to be taken into account by budget panels and the effects of the war in Viet Nam have brought increased demands for service on agencies which serve the military and their dependents. Mrs. Roberts NASHUA, N. H. Mrs. Viola Roberts, 62, of Nashua, died Saturday night after an illness of five weeks.

A daughter of Mrs. Laura Gallup Hitchen of Nashua and the late Harry O. Gallup, her husband was the late Harold Roberts. A sister, Mrs. Susan Hawkins, is superintendent of Allen Bennett Memorial Hospital, Greer, S.

C. Surviving in addition to her mother and sister are two sons, Charles Roberts with the U. S. Army, New York, and Carl Roberts of Nashua; and a brother, four other sisters and three grandchildren. Funeral services and burial will be in Nashua.

A native of Franklin County, chairman of the Board of son of the late Samuel Ern Potter-Shackleford Construction est and Delia W. Hayes, he lived in Anderson for 45 years and was a retired textile worker. A native of Union, son of the late Perry Ralph and Pearl Evelyn Smith, he lived in Greenwood 13 years and was employed by Greenwood Mills. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruth Lawson Smith; a daughter, Miss Sadie Marie Smith of the home; a son, Tedd R. Smith of Memphis, Tenn. and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church by Rev. Frank Floyd and Rev. Will Rod-gers. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery in Union.

Bishop SPARTANBURG-Jesse Daniel Bishop, 75, of 222 Folsom died Saturday night in a local hospital after a short illness. A native of Buncombe County, N.C., he was a retired artist and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Surviving is his brother, Ernest Bishop of Asheville, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at J.

Roger D. Nelms SENECA Roger Dale Nelms, 16, of the Reedy Fork Community, died Sunday at 2 a.m. after two month of illness. He was a lifelong resident of Oconee County and a member of the tenth grade of Seneca High School. Surviving are his parents, James Alexander and Sara Kerr Nelms; three brothers, Jerry Nelms of Seneca, Airman 2.C.

James Earle Nelms with the U. S. Air Force in Texas, and Ricky Joe Nelms of the home; a sister, Miss Barbara Nelms of the home; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.

S. Nelms of Seneca. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 5 p.m. at Reedy Fork Baptist Church by Rev. Gene Burdette, Rev.

Alice Bell Wilson Taylor, 70, of 202 Charlesworth died Sunday at 12:15 a.m. after a long illness. A native of Cross Anchor, daughter of the late Alonzo and Elizabeth Allen Wilson, she was a member of Park Hills Baptist Church. Her husband was the late Harrison Floyd Taylor. Surviving are two sons, Harold J.

and Samuel Everett Taylor of Spartanburg; two brothers, Clarence Wilson of St. Louis, and Clyde Wilson of Woodruff; seven sisters, Mrs. W. L. Bobo of Spartanburg, Mrs.

after a period of declining health. C. Mann, former employe of Brandon Mill, died at his home 208 Spruce Woodville Heights, at 7:35 p.m. yesterday after six months of serious illness. He had been in declining health for more than a year. He was bom Aug.

17, 1909 in Pickens County, a son of the late Louis Jacob and Alice Hen-drix Mann. The greater part of his life was spent in Greenville. Mr. Mann worked in the weave room at Brandon Mill prior to his illness. He attended Woodside Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sue Couch Mann and a son, J. C. Man Jr. of Greenville; three brothers, L.

T. Mann of Greenville, Clarence Mann and Burvin Mann of Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. Charlie Leslie of Ware Shoals and Mrs. Randall C. Walker of Plant City, and four grandchildren.

A native of Piedmont, daughter of the late Elijah and Elizabeth Black Callahan, she lived in Liberty more than 25 years before she moved to Six Mile 14 years ago. She was employed in the weaving department of the Norris Plant of Woodside Mills and was a member of Golden Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Cleo McCall; a son, Jerrald McCall of Rt.

2, Central; two brothers, Donald and Elijah Callahan of Piedmont; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Mitchell and Miss Mary Callahan of Piedmont, Mrs. Hat-tie Robinson of Greenville and Mrs. Lessie Flemming of Charlotte, N.C; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m.

Bridges Henry Clyde Bridges, 73, resident of Greenville for many years, died Saturday at 5:55 p.m. in a local nursing home after several years of declining health. Bom ki Pickens County, he was a son of the late William Henry and Mary Lois (Jones) Bridges. He was in textile work many years before his reirement in 1953. Mr.

Bridges was a member of Monaghan Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pearl Griffin Bridges of Greenville; two daughters, Mrs. D. B.
