Leila Broom Miles died at a local hospital Friday after a lengthy ill-; ness She was born in Seneca a daughter of the late Capt. George Newton and Peggy Ann Reese Broom. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. B.

B. West of Spartanburg, Mrs. J. E. Watkins of Greenville: three grandchildren and 2 great -grandchildren.

Graveside services were conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Dr. W. H.

Mrs. Prevost Burial services for Mrs. Tournay Prevost, formerly of Greenville, who died Saturday at Deca-16 tur, will be conducted today at 2:30 p.m. at the graveside in Christ Episcopal Church cemetery by Rev. Thomas A.

Roberts. Funeral services for Mrs. Prevost, the former Miss Audrey Byrd and widow of Tournay Prevost of Greenville, were conducted yesterday at Decatur. Pallbearers in Greenville will be Ellison G. Webster William P.

Luther F. Hudson PICKENS Luther Ferb Hudson, 50, of Rt. 1, Pickens, died in a Greenville hospital at 7 a.m. Sunday following five years of declining health and two days of Illness. He was a lifelong resident of Pickens County and a son of the late Luther and Damie Spearman Hudson.

He was a retired construction worker and a member of the Martin Grove Wesleyan Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dora Crenshaw Hudson; six daughters, Mrs. Virginia Spearman of Pickens, Mrs. Winnie Lee Sloan of Easley, Miss Myrtie Lou Hudson, Miss Beatrice Hudson, Miss Patricia Hudson and Miss Judy Lynn Hudson, all of the home; three sons, L.

F. Hudson of Greenville, Ray Hudson and Larry Hudson, both of the home, and five grandchildren. The body is at Clayton-Dillard Funeral Home and funeral arrangements will be announced later. R. M.

Moore, died Sunday at a.m. at a local hospital. She had been in declining health for several years and seriously ill one week. Born at Spartanburg, a daughter of the late William and Sarah Parris, she had lived in Greenville most of her life. She was a member of Tremont Avenue Church of God.

Her husband died in this city Sept. 4, 1959. Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Flonnie Robinson of Anderson, Mrs. Lucille Grizzle of Greenville and Mrs.

Catherine Latimer Erwin, 85, of 512 E. Greer died Sunday at 9 a.m. in a Greenwood hospital after an illness of two months. She was a lifelong resident of Honea Path and a member of Honea Path Presbyterian Church. Her husband, William Arthur Erwin, died in 1956.

He was born and reared in Newberry a son of the late John liam and Sara Paysinger White. He was an operator for Duke Power Company for more than 44 years before retiring in 1956. He was a member of Central Methodist Church. Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. J.

D. Inman of Newberry, Mrs. George P. Smith of Savannah, Mrs. William Miller of Chattanooga, two sisters, Mrs.

T. C. Johnson of Clinton and Miss Elizabeth White of St. Petersburg, one brother, Julian White of Greenwood; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m.

Monday at McSwain Funeral Home by Rev. Thurmond H. Vickery. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery in Newberry. The family will be at the home of his daughter Mrs.

Hindman BELTON Thomas Patrick Hindman died Friday at 5 p.m. at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Va. following several years of declining health and one day of illness. He was a retired tailor and a former resident of Belton but had lived most recently in Norfolk. He was a son of the late Patrick land Elizabeth Holiday Hindman of Anderson County.

He was a Baptist. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maude Boyce Hindman; two sons, Marion Hindman of Belton, J. T. Hindman of Hickory, N.

two daughters, Mrs. Henry Strickland of Belton, Miss Sybil Hindman of Honea Path; two sisters, Mrs. John Black of Williamston, Mrs. Ora Lee Damron of Greenville; and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Big Creek Baptist Church Tuesday at 3 p.m.

The family will be at the home of Mrs. Henry Strickland, 108 Mahaffey St. Thomas V. Huey SPARTANBURG-Thomas Vernon Huey, 58, died at his home Sunday morning after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Randolph County, and a son of C.

E. Huey and the late Augustus McManus Huey of Burlington, N. C. He was a graduate of Elon College and did graduate work at University of Georgia. He was a former teacher and basketball coach at LaGrange, Ga.

He was a former representative of H. J. Heinz Company in Anderson. He was in the insurance business in Columbia where he was elder and clerk of the session at Eau Claire Presbyterian Church, President of Exchange Club and a member of the Water Commission. He had lived in Spartanburg for the past 15 years and was district supervisor for New South Life Insurance Company.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Surviving in addition to father are his wife, Mrs. Clara Rudd Huey; one daughter, Mrs. Fred Freidrich Schilling Jr. of Blackstone, three sisters, Mrs.

Clarence Morton of Gibsonville, N. Mrs. David Yancey of Mebane, N. and Mrs. James Ward of Burlington; and eight brothers, Virgilo and Ralph E.

Burdett WOODRUFF-W. Eckford (Eck) Burdette, 50, of Rt. 1, Woodruff. died Sunday at 5 a.m. in a Spartanburg hospital after four years of declining health and two weeks of illness.

1, Kelton, was fatally injured at 12:40 a.m. Sunday in an automobile accident. He was born in Union County, the son of Ned Keith Little and Mrs. Roberta Watson Little. He was employed in the weaving department of Monarch Mill and was a member of Fosters Chapel Methodist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are three sisters, Cora, Jane and Helen Little of the home; a borther, Keith Little of Barksdale Air Force Base, his grandparents, Mrs. Kate Watson of Winnsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Little of Kelton. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m.

at Foster Chapel Methodist Church by Rev. Robert Davenport and Rev. Fred Murray. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ted, Roy and Allen Little, Bill Kelly, Jimmy Hart, and Dewey Petty Jr.

Cantrell PICKENS-Mrs. Ressie Frances Dickard Cantrell, 58, wife of Seth D. Cantrell of Rt. 2. Pickens, died at an Easley Hospital at 3 p.m.

Sunday after six years of declining health and an illness of two days. She was born in Pickens County, a daughter of Mrs. Rose Riggins Dickard and the late Terrel Dickard. She had spent most of her life in Pickens County moving to Rt. 2, Pickens, after residing a number of years in the Arial Community.

She attended the Pickens View Wesleyan Methodist Church and was a member of the Ladies Class of the Sunday School. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are one stepdaughter, Mrs. Frances Crenshaw of Pickens; four stepsons, Doyle Cantrell of Pickens, Frank Cantrell of Liberty, Junior Cantrell of Easley and Cecil Cantrell of Liberty; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Clardy of Greenville, Mrs. Myrtle Youngblood of Easley, Mrs.

Eula Powell of Easley and Mrs. Mildred McCall of Easley; two brothers. Wyatt Dickard of Easley and Walker Dickard of Liberty; and three step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Pickens View Wesleyan Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Tuesday Rev.

Earl J. Husks, Rev. Horace Sorrells and Rev. Ken- neth Callaham. Burial will be in Tabor Methodist Church Cemetery.

Edwards WOODRUFF Mrs. Martha League Edwards, 85, died Sunday at 2 a.m. at the home of her sister, Mrs. A. D.

Stenhouse in of declining health and a Simpsonville, after several years, illness. She was a native of Greenville County, a daughter of the late Dr. T. R. League and Mrs.

Annie Creighton League, and had spent most of her life in Woodruff. She was first librarian of the Timrod, Library, retiring from that position in 1956. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a former worthy matron of the Woodruff Chapter, OES. She was a member of the DAR. Surviving are two other sisters, Mrs.

B. E. Lyons of Rt. 1, Simpsonville, and Mrs. T.

L. Greene of Greenville. Funeral services, will be conducted Monday p.m. at First Presbyterian Church by Rev. E.

Bert Wilkerson and Rev. C. L. Boyter. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
