She was a native of Lavonia a member of Draytonville Baptist Church and lived in Cherokee County 42 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Noby Parris of Gaffney and Mrs. Idell Rhoten of High Shoals; two sons, Wade and Noah Lecroy of Gaffney; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Draytonville Baptist Church by Rev.

He was a son of the late Mott and Nolie Long. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucille Long; a son, Lynard Young of Batesburg; a brother, Mott Long of Saluda; two sisters, Mrs Luther Corley of Saluda and Mrs. Ruby Satcher of Ward; three stepbrothers, George and Grady Force of Newberry and Heyward Force of Martinez, and three stepsisters, Mrs. Jess Riley, Mrs.

Pearl Riley and Mrs. Mary Lou Long of Saluda. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 3 p. m. at the First Baptist Church.

Walhalla, Burnt Tanyard section, died Tuesday at 12:55 p. m. at his home after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Oconee County, son of Mrs. Alice Wilson Rogers of Salem and the late Luther Rogers.

He was a retired farmer. Surviving also are his wife. Mrs. Ophelia Brewer Rogers; tour sons, Derril Rogers of West Union, Grady Rogers of the home, Roy and Cecil Rogers of Macon, three daughters, Mrs. Nesmith of Macon, Mrs.

Ressie Wilson of Walhalla and Mrs. Pauline McCall of Greenville; three brothers, Jess and Claude Rogers of Salem and Ed Rogers of Greenville; 29 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Eva Hollis Miller, 73, wife of Jim Wade Miller, died Tuesday at 5 a. m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hugh (Joan) McCarter in Fountain Inn, after a long illness. She was a native of Union County, but had lived here since her marriage.

Her parents were the late Wesley Dogan and Emily Bomar Hollis. She was a member of Mountville Baptist Church. Surviving also are another daughter, Mrs. Mary (Monnie) Pitss of Aiken; a son, Air Force Capt. Jim Wade Miller Jr.

Mrs. D. E. Burns Mrs. Lucille Coleman Burns, 66, of 109 Waccamaw wife of David E.

Burns, died yesterday at a local hospital after two weeks of illness. She was born in upper Greenville County, a daughter of Mrs. Laura Roper Coleman and the late Riley Jones Coleman. She lived on Waccamaw Avenue for the past 37 years. She was a member of Bethuel Baptist Church.

P. Arthur Bishop Perry Arthur Bishop, 84, of 10 Hilltop Sans Souci, died yesterday at 7:55 a.m. at a local hospital after several months of declining health and a sudden attack. He was born in 1 Transylvania County, N. a son of the late P.

B. and Mahala Heath Bishop. He lived most of his life in Greenville County and was a retired carpenter. For a number of years he was a foreman with Grady Hodgens, building contractors. He was a member of Morgan Memorial Baptist Church.

Wednesday. George H. Reid WALHALLA George Harri- son Reid, 81, of Rt. 1, Walhalla, died at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday at an Oconee County hospital after eight weeks of illness.

He was a native of Oconee County, son of the late Daniel and Martha Eaton Reid. He owned operated Reid's Grocery and served as astore trustee of Zion School District 25 years. He was a school bus driver in this area 17 years and served two terms as Oconee County commissioner for Wagener Township. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are four sons, John C.

(Bob) and Louie Reid of Walhalla, Raymond Reid of Miami, and Loyd Reid of Fort Worth, a daughter, Mrs. Eunice Kelley of Walhalla; 10 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church by Rev. C.

1, Easley, died at a Greenville hospital Tuesday at 1:25 p. m. after five years of illness. She was a native of Pickens County, daughter of Courtney M. and Nell Bagwell Durham of Easley.

She was a graduate of Liberty High School and a member of Smith's Grove Baptist Church. Surviving also are her husband, Lenhardt Reeves; two daughters, Shirley and Lynn Reeves of the home; a son, Mike Reeves of the home; and a brother, Fred Durham of Wetumpka, Ala. Wednesday. Mrs. Effie Knox PACOLET MILLS Mrs. Effie Knox, 67, of 47 Green died at 4 a.m. Tuesday at a Spartanburg hospital after a long illness.

She was a native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Melvin and Annie Motts Knox. She was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church and was a retired textile worker. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Gibson of Pacolet; a son, James Knox of Pacolet Mills; two brothers, Horace Knox of Taylorsville, N.C., and George Knox of Pacolet Mills; six grandchildren and a greatgrandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4 p.m.

W. A. Meredith WALHALLA William Albert Meredith, 81, of the Coneross community, Rt. 1, Walhalla, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday at a Pickens rest home after three years of declining health.

He was a native of Oconee County, son of the late George and Louisa Adair Meredith. He was a farmer and was employed at Oconee County Rock Quarry. He was a member of Coneross Baptist Church where he had a perfect attendance record of 33 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Roxie Anna McDonald Meredith; two sons, J.

G. Meredith of Walhalla and J. A. Meredith of Campobello; three daughters, Mrs. Nettie Busche and Mrs.

Wilma Mason of Seneca and Mrs. Cecile Cleveland of Hartwell, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Coneross Baptist Church by Rev. U.

Norris CENTRAL Jay Luther Norris, 75, of 407 Eaton died Tuesday at 2:45 p.m. after a sudden illness. He was a native of Pickens County, son late James and Sallie Nalley Norris. He was a retired textile worker and lived in Central 45 yars. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and was a Baptist.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mollie Boyles Norris; a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Maw of Central; four sons, Merrell and Furman Norris of Central. Henry Norris of Clinton and Charles Norris of Pendleton; two sisters, Mrs. Della Rice of Odessa, Mrs.

Willis W. Kimbrell Willis Westmoreland Kimbrell, 51, of 207 W. Park a building contractor, died yesterday at a local hospital at 5:40 p.m. after several months of declining health. He was born in Anderson county, son of the late George and Lula Collins Kimbrell.

He lived most of his life in Greenville. Before moving to his present address he lived on the Piedmont highway. He was a member of Bethesda Methodist church and during World War II served in the U.S. Army. Survivors are his wife, Mrs.

Louise Hamby Kimbrell; three daughters, Mrs. Jean Story, Mrs. Barbara Cole and Mrs. Peggy Forrester of Greenville; two sons, Gerald Kimbrell of Greenville and Larry Kimbrell of North Augusta; three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Spake of Grover, N.

C. C. Lands MARIETTA Mrs. France Ruth Harlston Lands, 59, of Talley Bridge Road, widow of Charles Clyde Lands, died at her home at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday after four months of illness.

She was a native of Huntsville, daughter of the late William Harlston and Mrs. A. C. Youngblood. She lived here 17 years and was a Baptist.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. W. R. (Juanita) Byars of Columbia and Mrs. Dorothy Hamilton of Ohio; a half-brother, Glenn T.

Youngblood of Mathews, N. three grandchildren Funeral and a services great will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. at Walnut Grove Baptist Church John Pace. Burial will be in by Jack Lynch and Rev. Grand View Memorial Park, Travelers Rest.

Pallbearers will be W. Charles, William, J. R. and Ralph Lands and Calvin Gilstrap. The body is at Gantt Funeral Home, Liberty, and will be placed in the church at 1.p.m.

Thursday. The family will re; ceive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. G. P.

Haloulos Funeral services for George Peter Haloulos, 67, of 19-E Tallulah Drive will be conducted today at 4 p. m. at St. George Creek Orthodox Church by Father Vasilas. Burial, will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Those desiring may make memorials to St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Pallbearers will be Nick Theodore, George Manios, Pete Harakas, George Bobotis, Dr. T. A.

Siachos, and Jack Egan. He died yesterday at 2:20 a. m. in a local hospital after an illness of four days. He was born in Sparta, Greece, a son of Mrs.

Peter Haloulos of Sparta and the late Peter Haloulos. He lived the past 38 years in Greenville and was a merchant. He was a member of St. George Creek Orthodox Church. Surviving also are his wife, Mrs.

Sophie Vurnakes Haloulos of Greenville; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Ann Field of Riverside, three sons, Peter George Haloulos of Los Angeles, James George and Steve George Haloulos of Greenville; four sisters, Mrs. Katina Parthemos, Mrs. Maria Plagianes and Mrs. Bessie Georgiades of Greenville and Mrs.

Antonia Plagianes of Sparta; a brother, James P. Haloulos of Sparta; and five grandchildren. The body at the mortuary..
