Plans, specifications and other contract documents may be obtained by application to Mr. R. P. Giloth, Project Manager, Burns and Roe, 700 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, N.J. 07649, to be accompanied by a deposit check or money order in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100) for each set.

Bona fide general contractors who submit a bid (in triplicate) may obtain a refund of the deposit upon returning all sets except one of plans to Burns and Roe, Inc. within twenty (20) days after receipt of bids. No deposit refunds will otherwise be made. Prospective bidders are advised that licenses are required in the State of South Carolina for bidding and for contracting purposes. The attention of bidders is called to the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1962, Volume 11, Title 56, Chapter 7, and in particular to Section 56- 417 thereof, which provides that invitations to bidders are required to include the information that it will be necessary for bidders to show evidence of being licensed and that contract will not be awarded unless the bidder complies with all applicable provisions of said chapter.

Applications for contracting license require at least 30 days for processing. Any questions concerning licenses should be referred to the South Carolina Licensing Board for Contractors, Columbia, S. 29205. McDowell, died Saturday at 6:30 pim. at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Pelzer, daughter of W. E. Nelson and the late Mrs.

Lula Satterfield Nelson. She lived in Greenwood since childhood and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Betty Butler of Atlanta, and Mrs. Mary Frances Holland of Spartanburg; three sons, Joe McDowell of Riley, Charles McDowell of Ridge Springs and Ben T.

McDowell of Anderson; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Crowe and Mrs. Elizabeth Faulkner of Greenwood and Mrs. Helen Flury of Atlanta; a brother, George Nelson of Ware Shoals; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the First Baptist Church Monday at 11 a.m, by Dr.

James A. Bowers and Rev. W. G. Ellenberg.

Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alan Chapman, Bruce Higgenbotham, Bill Hamby, William Cook, Emmett and John Wells, Zane Dickerson, L. Z. Zeigler, Marvin Campbell and Albert Gamble. The body is at Blyth Funeral Home and will be placed in the church Monday at 10 a.m, Mrs.

Frank Pace PICKENS-Mrs. Minnie Swayngham Chastain Pace, 81, wife of Frank Pace, died in an Easley nursing home Saturday at 5:45 a.m. after a month's illness. She was born in Pickens County, daughter of the late Alex A. and Mary Ann Moore Swayngham and was a member of Rices Creek Baptist Church.

She was a lifelong resident of Greenville and Pickens County. Her first husband was the late Joe Chastain. Surviving also are a son, Joe Landis Chastain of Greenville; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, at 4:30 p.m. at George's Creek Church of God by Rev.

Carl E. Brezeale and Rev. Lamar Brezeale. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex, Ansel, Lloyd and J.

The work consists of the construction of a 2A, 20 and 16 inch water transmission main from an existing 36 inch main crossing Parkins Mill Road near I- 85 to Simpsonville, S. C. near Highway 276 and Standing Springs Road. The work includes the INSTALLATION of about 11,300 linear feet of 24 inch reinforced concrete pipe, 24,800 linear feet of 20 inch pipe, and 6 linear feet of 16 inch pipe; line valves; blowoff assemblies; and other miscellaneous items of work. ALL PIPE, FITTINGS, AND VALVES WILL BE FURNISHED BY THE OWNER.

Lee Quarles of Greenwood and Mrs. Dealver Deal of Troy; two sisters, Mrs. Bertie Walden of Twin City, and Mrs. Luck Douglas of Adrian, two brothers, John Henry of Sevanshoro, and Bennie Henry of Summertown; 22 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:30 p.m.

at Bethel Methodist Church, Callison, by Rev. William Coble and Rev. E. B. Lowery.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Etheridge, J. P. Cook, Beaugard and G. D.

Bell, Tom Bladon, Earl Owings and Walter Rush. The body is at the home of a son, Cecil Rachels, 214 Sagewood Road, and will be placed in the church Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Harley Funeral Home is in charge. Mrs. Galloway EASLEY Mrs.

Lela Ora Belle Galloway, 83, of Highway 135, near Medlin's Store, widow of Simms Galloway, died Friday at 8:35 p.m. in a Columbia hospital after an illness of several years. She was a native of Transylvania County, N. daughter of the late Calvin and Sara Jane Garren Galloway, and was a member of Cateechee Baptist Church. She lived in Cateechee before moving to Easley a number of years ago, and was a retired Norris Mills plant employe.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dallie Baumgarner of Hickory, N. and Mrs. Ford Smith of Marietta; three sons, Foster Galloway of Marietta, Feber Galloway of Knoxville, and Claude Galloway of Chicago, a brother, Welborn Galloway of Brevard, N. 35 grandchildren and 25 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home by Rev. Jesse Meece, Frank Rochester and Rev. Garland Sentell. Burial will be in West View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Phil and Dewey Smith, Floyd and Chester Galloway, Houston Bolick and Harold Raines. The body is at the funeral home and the family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ford Smith, near Medlin's Store. the bids are opened.
