Lynch, 3009 Old BuncomDe ita. Mrs. Thomas S. Crawford SENECA Mrs. Refford Walters Crawford, 75, of Shiloh Road, wife of Thomas S.

Crawford, died Saturday. A native of Lavonia, daughter of the late Thomas W. and Rosettie Brewer Walters, she had lived in Seneca since 1929 and was a member of Utica Baptist Church. Surviving also are two sons, Dewey and John W. Crawford of Seneca; four daughters, Mrs.

U. K. McDonald, Mrs. Ralph Maxie and Mrs. Frank Pruitt of Seneca, and Miss Mildred Crawford of the home; ten grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Brown's Funeral Home, Seneca. Mrs. S. Stoy Gregory Mrs. Ethel Cobb Gregory, 74, widow of S.

Stoy Gregory, died Saturday at a Salisbury, N. nursing home. A native of Piedmont, daughter of the late William Hovey and Beulah Armstrong Cobb, she lived in Greenville several years but for the past: five years she had lived in! Salisbury. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a son, b.

BELTON Ernest Newton King 65, of 102 Church died Saturday. He was a son of the late James Robert and Maggie Robinson King, a member of Second Baptist church, and a retired textile employe. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Clellia Shaw King; a son, Ernest N. King Jr.

of Belton; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry Teague and Mrs. Carlton Mitchell of Belton; a brother, the Rev. C. C.

King of Belton; four sisters, Mrs. Clarence Ellison of Belton, Mrs. Lillie Mae Philway of Kan-napolis, N. Mrs. John H.

Jones of Honea Path and Mrs. Colie Smith of Anderson; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Second Baptist Church Monday at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Memorial Park. The body is at Cox Funeral Home and will be placed in the home on Church Street Sun day at 2 p.m.

Charlie L. Thompson Funeral services for Charlie Lide Thompson, 64, of 3926 White Horse Road, who died Friday, will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Assembly of God on River Road. Frances McConnell McCORMICK Mrs. Frances Cheatham McConnell, 74, died Jan. 9 in San Francisco, where she had lived for 20 years. She was born in Edgefield County, daughter of the late Pompey W. and Tallulah Williams Cheatham.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Claire M. Luft of San Francisco; a sister, Mrs. W. T.

Strom of McCormick; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Gilgal Baptist Church in Edgefield County. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.

Phil ClarK, Poplar Drive Extension. A native of Knoxville, daughter of the late Jasper and Nancy Cheatham Owens, sne was a member of Washington Pike Methodist Church at Knoxville. Surviving also is another! daughter, Mrs. Jack Sartin of Norris, a brother, Herman Owens of Knoxville; two sisters, Mrs. Melvin Standfire of Knoxville and Mrs.

William Haley of Norris; and four grandchildren. The body was sent by Wood Mortuary to the Rose Mortuary at Knoxville for funeral services and burial. Andrew J. Merchant KINARDS Andrew J. Merchant, 83, of Rt.

1, Kinards, died Friday at Newberry. Born in Newberry County, son of the late George W. and Dallas Perkins Merchant, he was a retired farmer and a member of Bush River Methodist Church. Surviving are four sons, A. J.

Merchant of Spartanburg, Wilson Merchant of Laurens, Woodrow Merchant of Newberry and Robert Merchant of Kinards; two daughters, Mrs, Calvin McNeill of Greenwood and Mrs. William West of Leesville; a sister, Mrs. Irvin Bishon of Kinards; and 12 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. Rufus Balleneer Rufus R. Ballenger, 63, died in UMumDia Friday. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Josenh L. and Kindness Center Ballenger. ueiore his retirement he was in construction work.

He was a Baptist. Surviving are five sisters. Mrs. Bessie B. Kmg, Mrs.

Cordie L. Williams and Mrs. Sally O. De Young of Greenville. Mrs.

"Bud" Mulkey, died Friday. A native of Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late James P. and Stella Hunnicutt. She was a retired textile worker and a member of Newry Church of God. Surviving are a son, Tulan Mulkey of the home; three daughters, Mrs.

Frances Petty of Bryan Road, Mrs. Eva Jenkins of Newry and Mrs. Lin da Nichols of Seneca; six brothers, Clayton Hunnicutt of West Union, the Rev. J. C.

and Beatrice Smith Gourlie, he had lived in Abbeville since 1957 and was a department head at Rocky River Mill. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. of Abbeville; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Griswald of Rocky Hill. and Mrs.

Leake, he was a member of Fountain Inn Presbyterian Church, the American Legion and the VFW, a retired service veteran of the Army, Air Force, and Marines, and an employe of Marshall Farms at Greenville. Surviving also are his wife, Mrs. Isabelle Horner Leake; two sons, John C. Leake U.S Army, Vietnam, and Robert T. Leake of the home; and daughter, Miss Mary Rose Leake of the home.

9, Greenviile, Paris Mountain Community, died Saturday at the Veteran's Hospital in Colum- Dia. A son of the late Warren Winfield and Fanny Blakely umson, ne was born in Green ville County. All of his life was spent in Greenville and until his retirement he was a farmer and cattleman. During World War I he served with the U. S.

Navy. He was a member of Piedmont Park Baptist Church and the Men's Bible Class. He was a member of Cooper Masonic Lodge 282 at Travelers Rest. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elsie Dill Gibson; two sons, Warren W.

Gibson Jr. of Green ville and Thomas J. Gibson of St. Louis, a brother, Walter G. Gibson of Sioux City, and three grandchildren.
