Williams Funeral services for William S. Williams of 119-A Viola who died Friday, will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. at Lowndes Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. 0.0. Pickett.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. He was a member of Lowndes Hill Masonic Lodge 164 and Eastern Star. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Adams of Greenville and Mrs. Emma Belcher of Hodges.

Watkins, Arnold and Sheppard Mortuary is in charge. Mrs. Vonnie Brown CROSS HILL-Mrs. Jeanette Goggins. Motes Brown, 30, wife of Vonnie Brown, of Charlotte, N.C., died at a Durham, N.C., hospital Friday.

She was a native of Cross Hill and lived in Charlotte for many years. She was employed at Southern Knitting Charlotte. Surviving also are her parents; four sons, Roger, Randy and Vonnie Brown Jr. of the home; and a daughter, Jeanette E. Brown of the home.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. James Gray. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the home of Mr.

and Mrs. J.C. Ralph Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Thompson's Mortuary, Clinton, is in charge. Mrs.

Sullivan LAURENS Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Bell Sullivan, who died in a local hospital Saturday, wife of Edward Sullivan, will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. at White Plains Baptist Church by the Rev. U.

D. Vernon and the Rev. E. W. Wright.

Surviving also are five daughters, Mrs. Edna Mathis of Laurens, Miss Janet Sulivan, Miss Gwendolyn Sullivan, Miss Susan Sullivan and Miss Ingrid Sullivan of the home; three sons, Marion Sullivan of Laurens and Stephen and Mark Sullivan of the home; her mother, Mrs. Laura Bailey of Laurens; three brothers, John Arthur Bailey of Greenville and James and Albert Bailey of Laurens; and two grandchildren. B. Byrd Sr. Lumber Co. and vice president of Southern Pines Products Statesboro, Ga. He was a former president of the Augusta Exchange Club and chairman of official board of Trinity on the Hill Methodist Church.

He was a member of the Top 30 Club. the Chamber of Commerce and the Committee of 100. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Suzanne Wade Byrd; three sons, Marion B. Byrd and Jimmy and Jerry Byrd of Augusta; a daughter, Miss Suzanne Col.

of Augusta; three brothers, Byrd of Charleston, S.C., A.C. of Greenville, S.C., and William Byrd of North Augusta, S.C.; and a sister, Miss Nellie Byrd of Greenwood, S.C. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Trinity, on the Hill Methodist by Rev. Jack Bozman.

Mrs. P. W. Nichols PROSPERITY Mrs, Elsie B. Paul Nichols, of Rt.

2, Prosperity, died Tuesday at 4 a.m. at a local clinic. She was a daughter of Mrs. Maude Harmon Bedenbaugh and the late Chester W. Bedenbaugh.

Surviving also are a daughter, Karen Nichols of the home; a son, David Nichols of the home; two sisters, Mrs. J.C. (Edith) Hipp of Loris and Mrs. Hoyt (Grace) Hendrix of Chester; and a brother, Hubert Bedenbaugh of Prosperity. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m.

at Corinth Lutheran Church by the Rev. Hilton Roof. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at Ramey's Funeral Home, Saluda, and will be placed in the church Wednesday at 2 p.m. Mrs.

Blanton Mrs. Frances Boggs Blanton, 53, wife of Lawrence Blanton of 220 Hammett Park Place, died at a local hospital at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday. Born at Spruce Pine, N. she was a daughter of the late Mr.

and Mrs. James D. McKinney. She lived in Greenville 40 years. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.

Also surviving are the following children by a former marriage: Mrs. Roy L. (Dorothy) Cabe Jr. of Bladensburg, Dallas Boggs of Greenville, Paul Boggs Greenville and Braxton Boggs of Laughlin AFB Del I Rio, a sister, Ruth M. Reid of Piedmont; and a brother, McKinney of Travelers Rest; and seven grandchildren.

Martha Annie Ricker, 94, of 3 Green widow of Charles Ricker, died at 2:15 p. m. She was a native of Greeneville, daughter of the late Alex and Mahaley Southerland Houston. She member of Tabernacle 'Baptist Church and lived in Pelzer 34 years. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs.

Blanche Smith of Knoxville, Mrs. Willie Fisher and Mrs. Kate Scroggs of Pelzer, Mrs Peart Ganoe of Fort Worth, Mrs. Bonnie Ketchersid of Lowrys, and Mrs. Johnnie Taylor of Greeneville, two sons, Burl Ricker of Anderson and Arthur Ricker of Palmetto, 34 grandchildren, 85 great grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at River Hill Church near Greeneville, Tenn. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The body is at Gray Mortuary.

The family is at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Kate Scroggs, 3 Green and will receive friends at "the mortuary Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Mrs. Wyatt LIBERTY Mrs. Annie Mae Crane Wyatt, 64, of 214 Anderson Drive, died at a Greenville hospital Tuesday at 12:50 a.m.

She was a daughter of the late Frank and Lula member of Gantt the Crane First and was a Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Carl Wyatt of Central, Frank Wyatt of Greenville and Joe Wyatt of Pickens; two daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Ruth) Wade of Liberty and Miss Audrey Wyatt of the home; a brother, W. C. Crane Sr.

Earnest is a Greenville, S. C. native. Surviving also are two sisters, Rachel Jean and Rebecca Joyce Earnest of the home, and grandparents, Mr. and John Taylor of Maine and Mrs.

Gwendolyn Dickert Earnest of Greenville. Funeral services and burial will be in Maine Wednesday. William Freeman Funeral services for William Freeman of 1529-A W. Washington Road, who died Saturday, will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Watkins, Arnold and Sheppard Mortuary by the Rev.

J.H. Smith. Burial will be in Bruton Town Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret G.

A. Lee ANDERSON Perry A. Lee 62, of 404 S. Gosset died in a Charleston hospital Tuesday at 8 a.m. He was a son of the late Richard Watts.

Frank Lee of Anderson; four sisters, Mrs. E. L. Whitworth and Mrs. J.

T. Dickerson of Anderson, Mrs. J. S. Edmond Besemer City, N.C., and Mrs.

1, Seneca, New Hope community, died Tuesday at 8:45 a.m, at a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Oconee County, son of the late William and Rosa Busclark Elkin, and was a member of Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge 92 and New Hope Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and merchant. His first wife was the late Mrs. Minnie Southerland Elkin.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Broome Elkin; two sons, Paul H. Elkins of Cashiers, N. and Ray S. Elkin of Cincinatti, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs.

Alloe Ann Taylor of Walhalla; three stepsons, M. C. Williams of Seneca, the Rev. Ray Williams of Seviersville, and Roy Williams of Denver, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Rosa Faye Mauldin of Liberty and Mrs.

Shealy LAURENS Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Wharton Shealy, 85, of 409 Irvy who died Monday wife of Joseph Haskell Shealy, will be conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Waterloo Methodist Church by the Rev. Floyd V. Chandler, the Rev.

Dr. R. Bryce Herbert and the Rev. W. Harry Chandler.

J. O. Williams NEWBERRY John Otto Williams, 72, of 2112 Osborne died Tuesday night in a local hospital. He was born in Newberry County, son of the late Mrs. Emma Williams Clamp, and was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He was a security guard for the Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Wilson Williams; a son, Otho Benson Williams of Kansas City, and a half brother, Joe Clamp of Columbia; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Whitaker Funeral Home. The body is at the funeral home.

Mrs. James Mathis WOODRUFF Mrs. Irene Tucker Mathis, 67, widow of James Mathis and formerly of Woodruff, has died in a Chicago hospital. She was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Florence T. Tucker.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Robinson of Chicago; two sons, Bobby Mathis of Chicago and Woodrow Mathis of Miami, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. at Mills Mill Baptist Church by the Rev. John Lynch.

Burial will be in Woodruff Memorial Gardens. The body is at Lanford-Boyter Mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Thursday. The family is at the home of Leonard Mathis of Irby Street.

G. F. Lesslie WOODRUFF Gordon F. Lesslie, 37, of 350 Workman died a in a Spartanburg hospital at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A son of William C. Lesslie of Rock Hill and the late Mrs. Katherine Fleming Lesslie, he was a deacon of the First Presbyterian Church, treasurer of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a partner in the Stewart Furniture Co. Surviving also are his wife, Mrs.

Mary Stewart Lesslie; three daughters, Kathy, Linda and Judy Lesslie of home; and a brother, Dr. William Lesslie of Decatur, Ga. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Charles McDonald and the Rev.

John D. Love. Burial will be in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Dr. Guy Blakeley, Dr.

Mrs. W. H. Raxter Mrs. Eunice Taylor Raxter, of 1102 E.

Travis Street, Laredo, formerly of Greenville, widow of Wade H. Raxter, died at a San Antonio, hospital Saturday at 5:05 p. m. A daughter of the late L. Napoleon and Emily Lawson Taylor, she was born in Liberty.

For many years she lived in the Greenville area, but for 12 years lived with a daughter, Mrs. Eva L. Stewart of Laredo. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Brenham, Tex. Surviving also are a son, S.Sgt.

Robert E. Raxter, of the USAF at Keesler AFB, a brother, George L. Taylor of Healing Springs, and six grandchildren. Funeral plans will be announced by Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.

Garrison WARE SHOALS Gordon Hilton Garrison, 42, died early Tuesday at his home at Rt. 1, Ware Shoals. He was a native of Williamston, son of the late Jasper W. and Rosa Burgess Garrison, and was veteran World War II and a member of Mount Bethel Methodist Church. He lived in Ware Shoals since 1959 and was a textile worker.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Frances Saxon Garrison; four Gunnells of Ware Shoals and daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Kathy, Hilda a and Anna Faith Garrison of the home; and two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Burton Ernestine of Anderson and Mrs. Rampey of Pelzer.

W. L. Hendrix Mrs. Willie Mulkey Hendrix, 82, of 220 Gordon St. widow of William L.

Hendrix, died Thursday at 3:05 a. m. at a local hospital. A daughter of the late D. A.

and Nannie Rodgers Mulkey, she was born in Old Madison and lived in Fountain Inn before moving to Greenville 32 years ago. She was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Ruby) Floyd, Mrs. Alvin (Mattie) Beavers and Mrs.

Flynn (Louise) Cooper of Greenville; a son, George H. Hendrix of Greenville; a halfsister, Mrs. Lyman (Noire) Davis of Greenville; six grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Washington Avenue Baptist Church by the Rev.

Dr. W. Daniel Greer, Rev. Paul Tankersley and the Rev. W.

He was born in Georgia, son of the late John and Carrie Bates Dixon, and was a member of Eastatoe Baptist Church. He spent most of his life in Miami, Fla. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Stella Billie Morgan Dixon; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Frances Young of Greenville, Mrs.

Gladys Howard of Easley and Mrs. Laveda Butler of Oldsman, and three stepsons, Barney Butler of Okeechobee, Clarence Butler of Rockingham, N. and Charles Butler of Greenville; five sisters, Mrs. Lozier Bates of Fitzgerald, Mrs. Dora Maddox of Los Angeles, and Mrs.

Vicie Edwardson, Mrs. Laura Workman and Mrs. Ruth Medlin of Miami; a brother, J. W. Dixon of Miami; 25 grandchildren and nine great children.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4 p.m. at Holly Springs Baptist Church by Rev. Joe Haskett and Rev. Lester Collins. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Roy Mitchell UNION Mrs. Zayda McDonnald Mitchell, 56, of 104 Maybry widow of Roy Mitchell, died at a local hospital Tuesday at 1:25 a.m. She was a native of Williamsburg County, daughter of the late Samuel Edwin and Zayda McRoy McDonnald. She was a member of the Methodist of the Shriners Ladies Church, an honorary, member Auxiliary the Union Shrine Club.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and was formerly of Havelock, N. C. Surviving are a son, Ben W. Epps sisters, of San Mrs. Diego, Margaret 'Grady of Union and Mrs.

Julie Mae Boyd and Mrs. Hubert Sigmon of Hickory, N. two brothers, Walt and Jack McDonald of Rock Hill; and two grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by S. R.

Camp EASLEY Thorie J. Camp, 63, of Rt. 3, Easley, near Saluda Dam, died Tuesday at 4:45 a.m. in a Greenville hospital. He was born in Stephens County, son of the late Thomas Neal and Sallie Ann Holcombe Camp, and was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church and an employe of Piedmont Plush Mills in Greenville.

He lived in the Easley area 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Joyce Williams Camp; two sons, Thomas A. Camp of Brevard, N. and Watson E.

Camp of Greenville; three daughters, Mrs. William J. (Louise) Gilstrap of Rt. 3, Easley, and Mrs Bill (Margaret) Hiles and Mrs. Arvie Collier of Toccoa, and nine grandchildren.
