Haight and family will be guests of honor at a community wide welcoming party in Anderson on Tuesday, July 14 from 8 until 10 o'clock. Dr. Haight, formerly on the faculty of event is being planned for people of Anderson to attend and Furman University is the new president of Anderson College, so the meet the Haights, The party will be held on the lawn of Anderson College in front of the president's home, Dr. and Mrs. Haight's children are a daughter, Mary Martha, a college sophomore and a son, Frank Robert, a high school senior.

H. Blakely. MISS PARIS ILL Miss Lorraine Paris is a patient at General Hospital where she is undergoing treatment. The daughter of Mr. Mrs.

Paul of this city, Miss Paris is a teacher in the Newberry City Schools. IN THE MOUNTAINS Mr. and Mrs. Mack A. Boiter spent the past week end at Cherokee.

N. C. and Gatlinburg, returning by way of Knoxville. POLICE AUXILIARY The Greenville Police Auxillary is holding its annual party for the Spartanburg auxiliary Friday evening at the Pistol Club on the Saluda River. Members are asked to be present by 7 p.

m. Supper will be served picnic style at 7:30, after which a program will be given by the local auxiliary. AT HORSE SHOW Mr. and Mrs. Marion W.

The Rev. J. H. Darr, pastor of the bride, officiated using the double ring ceremony in the presence relatives and friends. Ushers were Odus Young of Clinton, brother of the bride and T.

E. Watts of Erhardt and brothlaw of the bride. A program of wedding music was rendered by Mrs. Fred MeAbee of Newberry and Miss Carolyn Seay, soloist of Pacolet. The bride and groom entered together unattended.
