Edna Yorke Bar ROCK HILL, Aug. 12 Mrs. Edna Pitts Yorke. 73, who had been seriously ill for several months, died at 2 o'clock this morning at the home of Dr. and Mrs.

John L. Bundy; the latter is her daughter. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a. m. at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.

Burial will be in the Concord. N. C. Cemetery. Officiating ministers will be the Rev.

W. C. Cooper, pastor of Ebenezer Church, and Dr. F. W.

Gregg. Born December 7. 1875, Mrs. Yorke was a daughter of the late Caleb A. and Mrs.

Laura Bost Pitts of Cabarrus County, N. C. She was married Nov. 12. 1907, at Concord, to N.

F. Yorke, who died in 1916. Mrs. Yorke came to Rock Hill in 1926 and opened the Periwinkle tea room on E. Main Street.

She operated the business until 1939. She was a member of Ann White chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a son, M. Felix Yorke of Rock Hill; two daughters, Mrs. J.

A. Okey of Graham, N. and Mrs. John L. Bundy of Rock Hill; five grandchildren; two brothers and sister, Paul M.

Pitts of Columbus, John D. Pitts of Phillipsburg, N. and Mrs. Hugh A. Query of Gastonia, N.

C. Pallbearers will be Frank D. Green, Leroy Williams, J. C. Hambright, J.

Gault GREENWOOD, Aug. 12 John- nie R. Gault, 27, died this afternoon at 12:30 o'clock at the home of his father-in-law, Mack C. Bryant, 200 Saco Street, Greenwood, following an illness of several years. Mr.

Gault was born and reared in Pelzer but had been living in Greenwood for the past 14 years. He served in World War If and ONLY A LIMITED QUANTITY WM. ROGERS "BELOVED" ville 14 years ago. The home is at 1303 Camp Road. She was a member of Popular Springs Missionary Baptist Church near Lavonia.

She was first married to Oscar J. Whitworth who died in 1921. Her second husband, Doyle B. Smith died five months ago. Surviving are one adopted son, Carl Whitwor Morris of Kernersville, N.

three sisters, Mrs. Lillie Patterson of Greenville, Mrs. Nancy Davis of Hull, and Mrs. Lula McCoy of Davisboro, one brother, Sanford J. Scott of Greenville, and two grandchildren.

Also surviving are two step-sons, Hoke Smith of Carnesville, and Bill Smith of Bowersville, five stepdaughters, Mrs. M. P. Sheriff of Lavonia, Mrs. Clarence Thompson of Anderson, Mrs.

J. B. Dunn of Dallas, N. Mrs. Charlie Sheriff of Seneca, and Mrs.

Lige Bryant of. Bowman. Ga. The body is at the funeral home awaiting the service. Walter W.

Caudell Funeral services for Walter W. Caudell. 56, who died suddenly Wednesday afternoon at his home, 210 W. Coffee Street, will be at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home at 11:30 o'clock this morning. The Rev.

Harold Sightler and the Rev. R. A. McKinney will officiate and interment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be William Stoddard, C.

D. Stoddard, James J. Pearson, Wilbur Strickland, Clyde Hughes and Ansel Hughes. His business associates of a local motor lines will form the honorary escort. Nieces of Mr.

Caudell will serve as flower girls. He was a native of Banks County, and lived for some years in Cornelia before coming to Greenville several years ago. Mr. Caudell was a member of Harmony Baptist Church of Cornelia. Ga.

Survivors include his wife. one daughter, sons, father, two sisters and four brothers. Awaiting the service the body is at the funeral 1 home. Mrs. Virginia Hall ANDERSON, Aug.

Virginia McAlister Hall, 23, died at her home on North Main Street at 9 a. m. today. She was a' life-long resident of Anderson and a daughter of the late Eugene B. McAlister and Mrs.

Ethel Massey Hall, who survives. She had been ill six months. She is survived by her husband, Robert C. Hall; her mother, two brothers, A. Furman McAlister of Simpsonville and E.

B. McAlister of Easley; two sisters; Mrs. Elmer L. Ramsey of Charleston Naval Base and Mrs. Lawrence Porter of Liberty.

Mrs. Hall was a member of the First Christian Church of Charleston. Funeral services will be at Corinth Baptist Church No. 2 Saturday at 11 a. conducted by the Rev.

Ralph Sasard and the Rev. U. G. Wilson. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Clinkscales HONEA PATH, Aug. 12-R. H. Clinkscales, 82. died at his home in Due West today at 2 p.m.

after an illness of several months. He was a retired farmer and a son of the late J. R. and Mrs. Martha Seawright Clinkscales.

He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Lilla Taylor; three sons, Bruce, Paul and Perry Clinkscales: five daughters, Mrs. Annie Belle Shrimp, Mrs. Maude Chasteen, Mrs. Myra Temple, Mrs. Mary Young and Mrs.

Lucille Young; one sister, Mrs. Lula Price: 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Clinkscales was a member of the Little River Baptist Church, at which funeral services will be Friday at 5 p.m., conducted by the Rev. J.

Pitts, died at her home near Clinton Thursday morning after several months illness. She was native of Laurens County and a daughter of the late David T. and Martha Adair Copeland, both old and well-known families of Laurens County. She was a member of Duncan Creek Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, J.
