Ernestine C. Bowers, Pickens Ernestine Clark Bowers, 80, of 242 Lakeview Drive, wife of the late J.C. Bowers, died Monday, Aug. 24, 1998. Mrs.

Bowers was born in Pickens County. She was the daughter of the late W. Elford and Lelia Day Clark. Mrs. Bowers was retired from Sir Shirtmakers.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Adult Fellowship Sunday School Class, and the Cannon Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving: one daughter, Kathy Bowers of Spartanburg; two sons, Elbert E. Bowers and his wife, Bobbie, of Easley and J. Bom in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin John and Stella Holfelder Senn. She was a retired bookkeeper with the Broward County Schools, Fort Lauderdale, and was member of Faith Free Presbyterian Church. Surviving are nieces, Patricia Brei-vik of Detroit, Joyce Senn of Hartford, and Shirl Schiffman of Columbia; and a great-nephew, Kenneth Breivik of Columbia. She was predeceased by a brother, Elmer W. Senn.

James Walter "Jimmy" Mullinax, 62, of 1 14 Sloan died Sunday, Aug. 23, 1998. A native of Spartanburg County, he was a son of Mrs. Viola Banther Mulli nax of Duncan and the late George Franklin Mullinax. He was a member of United Christian Church and a machine foreman for Leigh Fibers and a minister and a U.S.

Navy veteran. Surviving: his wife, Mary Smith Mullinax of the home, one daughter, Amanda Mullinax of the home, two sons: Mark Gordon Mullinax of Dal-ton, and Jeffery Scott Mullinax of Duncan; three stepdaughters: Becky McGee, Debbie Johnson and Rita Skinner; two stepsons: John Mabe and Don Mabe; one brother: Wayne Mullinax of Duncan and eleven grandchildren. Owens Sr. Inman James Ellis Owens 77, of 255 Reynolds Road, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 1998 at his home. Bom in Polk County, he was the son of the late George Walker and Nana Lee Couch Owens. He was a retired conductor with Seaboard Coastline Railroad and served in the army during World War II.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late William Glenn and Viola Beasley Davis. Mr. Davis retired from Garrett Construction Co. He was a member of Riv-erview Baptist Church and the Men's Sunday School Class of the church and a member of Woodmen of the World Camp No. 299.
