Thompson, Spartanburg Carroll C. "CC" Thompson, 60, formerly of 17 Britton Drayton, died March 4, 2001, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Polk County, N.C., he was the husband of the late Mary Ellen Smith Thompson and son of the late Clarence and Winnie Green Thompson. He was owneroperator of C.C. Thompson Garbage Service for 30 years.

Survivors include a son, Floyd J. Thompson of Taylors; a daughter, Susan T. Mobley of Salisbury, N.C.; three sisters, Betty Peeler of Green Creek, N.C., Shirley Powell of Duncan, and Sandra Pierce of Columbus, N.C.; and one granddaughter, Nikki Thompson of We-tumpka, Ala. He was preceded in death by a son, Richara C. Thompson.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight, March 6, 2001, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chanel, conducted by Dr. Don Mclntyre.

Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. Tribble, Piedmont Helen Spearman Tribble, 91, formerly of Piedmont, wife of the late Carl Monroe Tribble, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at the home of her son.

Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late James Benjamin and Mamie Tallulah Callaham Spearman, Mrs. Tribble was a homemaker and the oldest member of Beulah United Methodist Church. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William Carl and Lucile Tribble of Taylors; a daughter and son-in-law, Tallulah and H. Franklin Wallace of Greenville; a brother, J.B. Spearman of Anderson; five grandchildren, Kimberly Phillips and her husband Warren, of Charleston, Robin McCarthy and her husband Jack, also of Charleston, Heidi Christopher and her husband Capt.
