and Eliza Cooper Harris. He was a retired educator for Greenville County Schools and owner and operator of Harris Landscaping. He was a veteran of the US Army. Survivors: wife, Rose Collins Harris; motherin-law, Johnnie C. Gray of Greenville; sister, Rachel (Fred) Turner of Columbia; brother, Elford (Edna) Harris of Simpsonville; sisters -inlaw, Hattie Harris and Linda Collins; brothers Leroy Collins and Charles Edward Collins, all of Greenville; special niece, Nivia S.

Harris of Shaker Heights, Ohio; and other relatives and Joyce Elizabeth Hill Greenville Born in Simpsonville, he Mrs. Joyce Elizabeth Hill, 62, of 11 Fox Hall Road, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Paul David Hill, Sr. and Prue Dean Hill. Survivors: Devoted friend, Norman Sullivan, son, Juan Hill of Chicago, sisters, Hattie Wharton of Greenville, Betty Hill and Barbara Hill, both of Piedmont; brothers, Donald (Dorothy) Hill of Piedmont and Carol Hill of Greenville.

Funeral Service: 12 p.m. Saturday at Watkins, Garrett Woods Mortuary with burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Diabetes Association. Henry Earl Hood Easley Henry Earl Hood, 80, of 1502 Dacusville died Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Mr.

Hood was a son of the late Frank Earl and Mamie Lee Hudson Hood. He retired from Winn Dixie Stores after 35 years as a store manager and was a life long member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. He was a cattle farmer and with his dedication to soil and water conservation he earned a life time achievement award. Surviving are his wife: Luella Cox Hood; a son: George and his wife Donna; a daughter: Susan Tate and her husband Rick, all of Easley; four grandchildren: Zachary and Tyler Hood, Amanda Foster (Ryan) Jessica Merck (Clint) and Audrey Tate; and two greatgrandchildren: Ella Beth and London Foster. Mr Hood was predeceased by a sister, Mary Hendricks.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2010, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home- -Downtown. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday prior to the service. Private graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, following the funeral service.

Langston, all of the home; grandmother, Lois Loaiza of Piedmont; brother, Michael Bragg of Fountain Inn; and sister, Delaicy Clark of Georgia. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Ralph Langston and Thomas Ausburn.

Masonic Lodge of Katie Latimore Clinton Mrs Katie Latimore, age 109, departed at NHC in Clinton, S.C.on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, of natural causes. She was the daughter of Will and Rachael Rodgers, born November 7, 1901 in Laurens, S.C. She lived in Laurens, Waterloo, and Clinton. The Lord Jesus and her family were her greatest focus.

She served them both well. She outlived two spouses: Will Todd and Wade Latimore and 10 of her children including Willie D. Todd, James Latimore, Jannie Mae Morgan and Dorothy Sellers. She is survived by her only living child, Jeanette V. Redmond; two daughters in-law, Geneva Todd and Frances Latimore.

Mrs. Latimore also leaves behind 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 20 or more great -greatgrandchildren; and a host of neices and nephews. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Febru ary 6, 2010, at Hopewell Baptist Church. Wake from 7 to 8 p.m.

at Beasley Funeral Home. Tony Ray Lockey Piedmont Tony Ray Lockey, 52, of 1365 Garrison Road, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010. Born in Bennettsville, S.C., he was the son ofthe late Woodrow and Edith Sanders Lockey. Mr. Lockey was the owner of TL Landscaping and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are three sisters, Joyce Strickland and husband, James, of Gray Court, Judy Bowen and husband, Ricky, of Travelers Rest and Janice Sullivan of Simpsonville; two brothers, Michael Douglas Lockey of Fountain Inn and Clyde Lockey of Gray Court; employees, Robin Owens and Stephanie Lockey-Landreth; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Lockey; and brother, Kenney Lockey. Serving as pall bearers will be Brian Strickland, Scott Strickland, Ricky Bowen II, Todd Owens, Leon Phillips, and Dennis Shaw. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late John and Mamie Service McCauley. Paul retired from Clayton Tile Company after 20 years working as warehouse manager. He was a member of San-Souci Baptist Church, the H.EJ.A.Z. Shriner's Lodge of Mauldin as well as a Greenville. He is survived by five nieces and six nephews.

Paul was predeceased by his wife: Ora Justice McCauley; three brothers and two sisters. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 6, 2010, at 3 p.m. with burial to follow in Woodawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. in the funeral home.

Condolences: www.graymortuary.com Loyd "Slick" McGaha Easley Loyd "Slick" Nichols McGaha, 92, of 103 South 4th Street, husband of the late Clara Williams McGaha, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at his home. Born in Pickens County a son of the late David Wesley and Lyda Boggs McGaha, Mr.

McGaha was retired from Easley Mill and a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church. Mr. McGaha had a love for the game of baseball, where he coached the Easley Mill Sluggers and also played in the Textile League. For years, Mr.

McGaha was the leader of Boy Scout Troop 50 and in 2003 he received the Jean Laney Harris Folk Heritage Award. Surviving are three sons, Stan McGaha, Larry "Pete" McGaha and his wife Phyllis, all of Easley, and Steve McGaha and his wife, Deene, of Pickens; a sister, Mildred Spake of Powdersville; a granddaughter, Suzanne Moody of Easley; and three great-grandchildren, Allie, Arabella, and Eli; two nieces, Lucille McGaha Ware and Frances McGaha Motes; a nephew, Dee McGaha, all of Greenville, who were reared in the home. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. McGaha was predeceased by a brother, Ernest "Bub" McGaha. Funeral services will be 2 p.m.

Saturday, February 6, 2010, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home Downtown with the Reverend Barry Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in West View Cemetery, Easley. Moore Greenville Roger Dale Moore, 56, of Mauldin, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2010. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Hubert and Kathryn Ivester Moore. He worked as a service manager for S.P.W. and was a member of the Baptist faith. He is survived by two daughters: Bridgett Carr and her husband, Dan, of Simpsonville, and Brittany Moore and her Scott, of Taylors; a sister: Margaret Holcombe and her husband, Johnny, of Greenville; two brothers and sisters in-law: Larry and Margie Moore of Travelers Rest, and Dexter and Patsy Moore of Fountain Inn; and three grandchildren: Braylee, Dylan, and Logan.

He was predeceased by a brother: Jimmy Moore. Funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 9p.m. in the funeral home.

Woodlawn Funeral Home, Greenville Clay Phillips Greenville Phillips, 21, of 117 East Cranberry Lane, died February 3, 2010. A native of Davidson County, Tennessee, son of James (Jim) and Christine (Chris) Smith Phillips of Greenville, he was a 2007 graduate of James F. Byrnes High School and a 2009 graduate of the CuliInstitute of Charleston. He was a sous chef at The Old Village Post House Restaurant in Mt. Pleasant, S.C.

Clay found his passion in cooking and one day looked forward to owning his own restaurant. He was of the Baptist faith. Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Sprague of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; maternal grandfather, Dale W. Smith of Green Valley, maternal -grandparents, Harry and Jean Smith of Gallatin, Tennessee; and maternal greatgrandmother, Lenora Sprague of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m.

Sunday at Duncan First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Garry Harper and Rev. Lamar McAbee. Visitation will be held after the service at the church. The family is at the home of his parents, 117 East Cranberry Lane, Greenville.

Born in Laurens County he was the son of the late Carl and Maudie Martin Rogers. Mr.

Rogers was the owner and President of ACC Pest Control in Easley. He and his wife Carol Simmons Rogers were married for 40 years and members of Forestville Baptist Church. Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons: Douglas Rogers and wife Denise, and Tracy Rogers and wife Diana; two daughters: Karen Baldwin and husband Ken, and Carla Doty and husband John; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Rogers; and a sister, Josette Gillespie. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at 4 p.m.

Self Laurens Doris Robertson Self, 79, of 215 McDowell wife of Arthur V. Self, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2010, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late James T. and Pearly Mae Pressley Robertson. She retired from Torrington and Wal-Mart. Mrs. Selfwas a member of St.

James United Methodist Church, the Ruth Casey Sunday School Class, a former Trustee of the church, President of the United Methodist Women, and member of the Pastor Parish Relations Committee. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one son, Vernon Self and wife, Liz, of Laurens; two daughters, Lynn Self Riddle and Wanda Self Fulmer, both of Laurens; one brother, William P. "Billy" Robertson of Laurens; three grandchildren, Brent Riddle, Keila Taylor, and Keslyn F. Mendez; and five greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Tyler Fulmer; a brother, Charles Robertson; and sister, Brenda Robertson Fulmer.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010, at St. James United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Charlie Short with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the home of her son, 3171 Highway 49 and will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 p.m.

Southerland Easley Ralph Eugene Southerland, 85, formerly of Born in Greenville, Mr. South- erland was a son of the late Lewis Fletcher and Ellen Davis Southerland. He retired from Mayfair Mills Glenwood Division as a weaver. Mr. Southerland was a member of First Assembly of God and he loved gardening.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War IL. Surviving are his wife of sixty -seven years, Juanita Johnson Southerland of Kingsport, a son, Terry Southerland of Brevard, N.C.; two daughters, Donna Tipton of Kingsport, Tenn. and Rebecca Reece of Easley, S.C.; a brother, Robert Southerland of Taylors, S.C.; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr.

Southerland was predeceased by two brothers, Claude and Clarence Southerland; and two sisters, Clara Fowler and Ruby Southerland. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will re ceive friends at the church from 2 to 3 p.m.
